1. GENERAL No one other than the drivers named on the insurance proposal form may drive the hired vehicle. top 2. DRIVING LICENCES Drivers must be over 25 and under 70 years of age and must have held a domestic licnece for a period of two years or more. In certain circumstances the lower age limit can be reduced to 23 (further detaisl obtainable from McMullin MotorCaravans). The licence must be undendorsed (except for speeding and parking offences) and must be produced in full and the time of collecting the vehicle. Visitors from abroad must hold a current international driving permit or licence. Proof of identity that includes your photograph (such as a passport or photocard licence) must be produced by all hirers at the time of collecting the vehicle. top 3. INSURANCE Fullycomprehensive insurance is included within the hire charge. The vehicle is insured for the period of hire contracted ONLY, thus late return of the vehicle would incur a traffic offence under the Road Traffic Act. Hirers are advised to take out additional personal holiday insurance. top 4. BOOKING DETAILS Telephone bookings can be made, but will only be held for 5 days, by which time a completed Booking Form and a booking deposit of 20% of the total hire chargeshould have been received by McMullin Motors. The Booking deposit is nonm-refundable and shall be deducted from the hire charge. Confirmation of your booking will be posted to you along with an invoice in respecvt of the balance. top 5. BREAKDOWN In the unlikely event of a breakdown, McM Hirers are only authorised to request repairs up to a maximum value of £50.00. Repairs in excess of £50.00 must first be authorised by McMullin Motors PRIOR to work being undertaken. top 6. HIRER THE HIRER AGREES THAT HE/SHE: a) shall not carry more passengers than the seating capacity of the vehicle allows, or allow the vehicle to be overloaded. b) Shall not use the vehicle for carrying passengers or goods for hire or reward. c) Will be responsible to McMullin Motors for the cost of making good any damage caused to the vehicle caused by improper use. d) Understands that he/she is responsible for any fines (including parking fines) which may be incurred during the hire period. e) Shall not, without written consent from McMullin Motors, remove the vehicle out of the UK mainland. f) Understands that no claim by the hirer for loss or damage to personal belongings or effects of the hirer or any person (s) will be considered. g) Understands that any damage to the interior of the vehicle (including cigarette burns), living or cooking equipment will be charged to the hirer in all cases. top 7. PERIOD OF HIRE The times and dates of the contract of hire must be strictly adhered to NO REFUND IS GIVEN FOR THE EARLY RETURN OF THE VEHICLE top 8. CANCELLATIONS ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING If cancellation is received more than 6 (six) weeks prior to the commencement of hire, the deposit will be forfeited. All monies due and received within 6 (six) weeks of the commencement of hire are not refundable, except the insurance excess / damage bond which is refundable provided that no other sums are unpaid by way of deposit or otherwise McMullin Motors reserves the right to cancel hire if, at the commencement of hire, the drivers licences are invalid or not according to the conditions set out above. In these circumstances the total hire charge will be forfeited. Hirers are strongly advised to insure against unavoidable cancellation. top 9. AVAILABILITY While every effort is made to ensure that th vehicle reserved is available, if due to circumstances beyond our control, the reserved is not available, the company reserves the right to offer a suitable alternative. If this is not acceptable, the liability of McMullin Motors will be limited to the return of any monies paid by the hirer. top 10. LIABILITIES The hirer is responsible for all costs and excpenses incurred as a result of offences against the Road Traffic Act and is also responsible for any damage above cab height. The hirer will also indemnify McMullin Motors from, any liability top 11. ANIMALS All animals, other than Guide dogs, have to be approved by McMullin Motors at the time of booking. If approved, all damage however caused by the animals will be charged to the hirer in full top 12. PARKING The hirer may park, free of charge, and at his/her own risk 1 (one) car at McMullin Motors Storage Compound for the period of the hire top 13. COLLECTION AND RETURN Vehicles are available for collection Monday to Saturday (with Friday being the normal day for collection/return of the vehicle). Hiring's start and finish at McMullin Motors. UNEMPTIED TOILETS WILL INCUR A £25.00 penalty The minimum contionental hire is 2 (two) weeks. SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN ALL OUR MOTORHOMES top |
